POETRY THURSDAY

REGRETS
By  Amira

Tears running down my soul,
Knowing i can never again be whole,
I bleed to death each night,
Waking every hour with fright,
Nightmares of your split personality,
How they changed my dreams into a harsh reality,
Memories of your cruel words on how you think you won,
but what keeps me going, is knowing one day
you will deeply regret what you done.

MENTAL STATE
by Poeticflow

Its only a manner of time
before noone else can ever
capacitate mty mind...
I try so hard not to blame every
man for his lies
but it has gotten to the point where
its buaried in my mentality..
maybe cause constantly since 2003 my
heart has been through so much brutality..
every time a male comes along that seem as if
he might have my best intrest in mind..
i cant feel him im completely numb i
can't even think to give him a sign
even if i wanted to..see no matter how much i
progress my process always seem slowed..
because the man can do back flips, jumps, throw
money and give great head and still won't be known..
maybe i have grown use to being single and i like
being alone..
but it seems as if i cant escape this mentality
maybe ill never be whole..

REAL JUSTICE
by Tannesha

Finally prevailed
For innocently murdered
Trayvon Martin
The crime went public
Building on intensity
We all see our country
In a saddened state of turmoil
Our lifes biggest downfall
To attempt to succeed in having it all
Hurting each other being envious and greedy
Now the people of the world are turning on each other
Made out to become an issue of color
Because of his African American decent
Did not mean he committed a crime
A hoodie doesn't define a criminal mind
There are crimes committed face identified
Yet somehow they get away
A parents childs' life has been taken
Protested a petiton
Recieved national attention
We that felt it was wrong shared a strong connection
Hoodies on, skittles and tea armed
Showing support
We have come too far to reform
Become victims of silent racism
When all ethnics are subject to proverty
Today we reflect on that sad day
Hoping Trayvons' tragedy brings change
These senseless murders are happening at high rates
Unjustified fate
Awakes our nation to bring forth hopefully
REAL JUSTICE
